Fun In The Water

Before I tell you about today I have to show you a few pics Sue took...
First, of the tomatos that Mac and Mischa pulled off one of my tomato plants and...Second, of the huge thunderstorm that rolled in last Tuesday night. Okay, now for today...
Saturday began with the girls sleeping in a little. We did stay up pretty late the night before, so I don't blame them. After they woke up they helped with the little kids and the house and lunch. Finally we decided it was time to go swimming. It was only 85 degrees with a slight breeze and felt great--almost too cold to swim--but the kids were excited anyway. At night, after we got home, Cody Hanson invited Ben and Jacob over to their fun house. They had a blast and didn't get home 'til 11 PM.
Let us out!! Do you think we should take them somewhere--maybe?
Today we went to Trenton to play at their small waterpark pool. It was great fun and well worth the 25 min. drive and $1 more instead of going to the Gallatin pool. It was nice for the kids to get out of the house for a while. This morning the little boys were a little stinky to eachother. They just live in the moment. They don't know how sad they're going to be in a week when their cousins leave.
Is Elena lifting weights or jumping off the board?
Sabrina went down the big, scary slide!
Jade and Sariah are having one of their deep conversations, I'm sure.
Taking a break and watching their sisters and brothers jump off the diving boards--aren't they cute?
What an action shot of Kristina off the high dive!
Saturday ended with a big splash! Then we came home, got some groceries, made dinner and played 'til bedtime. Tomorrow we get to go to our new church building for the first time--I'm so excited! Mike, Gary, and the older boys got home at 11:30 pm. They're tired and ready to be home. I'll tell you how their trip went later...Love ya!

Friday--More Fun!

Sisters or cousins? Everyone thinks they look so much alike! At church people mistook Sariah for Kristina and thought Krissy had cut her hair. I just tell them, "Well, you are cousins, you know!"
Friday we went to Jamesport again for those who didn't catch it earlier in the week. We went to the fruit auction, which was where this pic was taken (check out the horse and buggy in the background). We also went to some Amish stores, had some good food, and (of course) the girls went shopping.
Sue had to have a pic of just the horse and carriage. These are all over Jamesport, of course.
Amish laundry day....
We also went to Adam Ondi Ahman today for those who didn't go earlier this week. This is at the lookout point.
This is on the top of Spring Hill. I love these rocks!
This is Preacher's Rock close to the base of Spring Hill. Joseph Smith preached a couple of sermons here and it's a favorite quiet spot to sit and think.
Going home now--talk to you later!

More Fun With The Steele Cousins

I forgot that Saturday after Sue and Gary arrived and before Jade's birthday we went to Krissy and Brina's tournament game. Even though they lost it was still fun. That's Brina above on 2nd.
Krissy usually plays outfield--isn't she cute?
These boys are the life of the party!

A lot of us can fit at the table but some have to sit in the mudroom--cream of wheat, yum!
Mac & Brig showing their real personalities--no pretenses here.

True Colors--it doesn't get any better than this, right? Update your blogs--we love you!

New Pics From Sue's Camera

So fun! Here are a few pics from today at the Gallatin Pool. We just swam for about 45 minutes 'til it started to rain.
Kristina and Sariah playing Marco Polo with some other Gallatin kids.
Sue & Samuel--he's six months old already!
Mischa & Joseph--are they adorable, or what?
Sariah with Samuel. Everyone wants to hold him! It's always a fight.
Sue bought some sticky bubble stuff and the kids have been loving it. Here is Kristina with a heart-shaped bubble.
We can't get these boys away from the gameboys! Sue brought four of them for the drive up here and now has to hide them. What is it with boys and toys?
Anton and I are so photogenic--and, of course, Anton beats us all in this area. It would be boring if we all just looked beautiful in pictures, wouldn't it?
Sue doing a Saria-pose in the kitchen.
Far West Temple site.
The Valley of Adam ondi Ahman
Jade turned 13 on the 20th--another teenager! We had a really fun day together and it was great that Gary & Sue arrived just in time for the party!
These four monkeys have been inseparable this week.
Anton needs a punch in the face--he won't ever smile for the camera!
This is of Ammon, Brig, Nephi and Mac. These boys are just so crazy and so much fun--more fun than we can stand sometimes! These are just a few pics. I'll put on more when I get my camera developed. Love you family!! Update your blog so I can hear more!!

Daily Itinerary

Gary & Sue are here visiting us! My camera is broken, but I'm taking Cara's advice and am using a disposable. When I get it developed I'll post the pictures. Until then, here's what we've been doing:

Saturday: Gary & Sue arrived at 10:00AM after 23 hours of driving. Mike and the boys got back from scout camp and Sue & I went to Walmart for GROCERIES!

Sunday: We all got ready for church and arrived EARLY--17 kids and 4 adults. Jade received her patriarchal blessing in Liberty so Gary & Sue took all the kids home for dinner. Mike made stir-fry beforehand and it did not turn out good. Everyone ate it anyway. We had company coming over (Emersons and Durfees) so Mike whipped up something better for them when we got home with Jade. Gary & Sue got to meet the Durfees and Emersons--fun night.

Monday: Jamesport (Amish town), Trenton and looking at some homes. Some kids went with us and some stayed home. At night we went over to the Hansons and played and played. Randy (Sheri's friend) called at about 10:00 PM and we all got to talk to him. He talked to Anton, his Mom & Dad, and Sheri the most, of course. He's in Australia now! We watched a movie after that and didn't get home 'til 1:00AM!

Tuesday: Adam-ondi-Ahman, Far West and Far West Country Store. It was a beautiful day--rained a little bit, but held out for us while we saw the sights. During the night was a massive thunderstorm that kept most of us up all night long. We now are going thru another 100-year flood two years in a row. I guess it's now the yearly flood.

Wednesday: Gary, Mike and the three older boys leave for Iowa for the Gallatin High School Wrestling Camp. They drove thru flood country but made it safely. Mike says the boys are having a lot of fun and are going to come home tired--Yeah! Sue took all the girls thrift store shopping and they got some fun stuff. We stay up late every night and sleep in every morning. Don't ya just love summer?

Thursday: Went swimming at the tiny Gallatin pool. The kids saw some friends they knew and had fun 'til a thunderstorm rolled in. We're having so much fun with the Steele cousins!

SORRY GUYS!

I left my camera at Girls' Camp last week and someone apparently took off with it instead of turning it in. Sooooo....I'm stuck with no camera and no way to update. I love it that everyone else is putting pics on--it almost feels like I'm there! I'll get more on when I can. I love you, family!!!
